Daniel completed his pupillage under the supervision of Pépin Aslett, a senior commercial barrister in Chambers. Daniel is keen to develop a broad commercial and chancery practice and in that respect he undertakes a wide range of advisory, drafting and advocacy work. Already he has good experience in a number of commercial and chancery areas, including contract and tort litigation, consumer law, construction, insurance, insolvency, bankruptcy, mortgages, property and land disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, commercial leases, and procedural and jurisdictional issues.
Daniel appears regularly in the county courts and occasionally in the High Court for trials, applications and other hearings. Daniel has worked as Junior Counsel to Pépin Aslett and David Uff, both of Chambers. In particular, he appeared as Junior Counsel to David Uff in the High Court in the case of Rossetti Marketing Ltd v Diamond Sofa Company Ltd and Solutions Marketing Ltd [2012] All ER (Comm) 18.
Daniel studied for the Bar at BPP Law School (Holborn) and was awarded the Wigglesworth Scholarship by Lincoln’s Inn. He was called to the Bar in 2008. Prior to pupillage Daniel worked on a two-year contract as a legal research assistant at the University of Hull and during that time he published the following articles:
