Nature of Practice

Keith specialises in all areas of criminal work and acts for both defence and prosecution. He has over 20 years' experience and has been involved with many major cases both on the Northern Circuit and on other Circuits. His work has included cases of homicide and serious violence, sexual offences, substantial drugs offences, robbery and fraud.

Keith has acted as leading Junior in complex matters. He is a category 4 Prosecutor and has been retained to prosecute for British Telecom. He is preferred defence counsel for The Foster Parents' Association.

Keith has appeared on numerous occasions before the Criminal Division of the Court of Appeal.

His approach to his work is forthright and independent and he is noted in Chambers and Partners 2009 as being "a sharp-shooter who is pitiless with opponents." and in the 2010 edition as "a great defence advocate."
