Specialist Interest

In the public law arena Lisa represents Local Authorities, parents, children (either directly or through their Guardians) and extended family members.

Her experience covers all aspects of care and adoption proceedings, including cases involving foreign elements, and applications to restrict publicity. She also acts on behalf of Local Authorities in PII applications.

Lisa has been instructed in many cases involving complex medical evidence including sudden infant death cases, NAI, sexual abuse and serious neglect. She has a particular interest in this area of practice.

In private law proceedings Lisa acts in protracted contact and residence disputes, many with allegations of sexual or physical abuse. She has acted in cases of inter familial homicide and those involving children with special needs including reduced life expectancy. Lisa undertakes all aspects of private law.

Lisa also has experience of applications concerning adults under a disability pursuant to the Inherent Jurisdiction.

She has appeared at all levels up to and including the Court of Appeal
