He practises in all areas of private law Children Act work, divorce and adoption proceedings CAFCASS Legal also instructs him on behalf of children in cases under the High Court's inherent jurisdiction and private law Children Act work.

Michael Kennedy has an active interest in the development of family law, and regularly attends Conferences/Seminars organised by the FLBA and Family Law publishing companies.
