NATURE OF PRACTICE:

Sarah specialises in criminal work, both as a Prosecutor and as a Defence advocate. She is a category 3 Prosecutor. She has appeared as an advocate in all levels of Court, from the Magistrates' Courts to the House of Lords.

Sarah has experience in many types of criminal cases, ranging from fraud to the importation of class A drugs, sexual offences against children and serious violence against the person. She also has expertise in regulatory work and in professional disciplinary hearings, having appeared as an advocate in the General Medical Council.

Recently Sarah has successfully appeared for the Defence in a number of cases brought by the Federation Against Copyright Theft and Media Protection Services, concerning criminal sanctions for the alleged theft of the intellectual property rights of broadcasters under the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988.
